About us...
Our practice rests under the gaze of Pihanga Maunga, a taonga of Ngāti Tūwharetoa and Ngāti Tūrangitukua. Pīhanga is considered to be a living entity, an ancestor, with her own mana and mauri (see the Article tab "Pihanga, wife of Tongariro" for more information).
Our patient population is diverse and often requires outside-the-box, innovative thinking to deliver positive health outcomes. We have a broad range of expertise and skills within our team. They are passionate about providing excellent health care services and are committed to finding better ways to provide services to our patients.
As part of our commitment to training future health professionals, we contribute to the training of medical students who are either in their fourth, fifth or final year. They work under the supervision of our doctors or nursing team during their time at Pihanga Health.
