Repeat Prescription
Enrolled patients can request regular medicines through MyIndici or by telephone. A prescription can only be issued when it is clinically safe and appropriate to do so.
Request through MyIndici
Sign in to MyIndici.
Open the Medication section.
Select the medicine or medicines you need.
Check that your preferred pharmacy is correct.
Submit the request.
Request by telephone
Call: 07 384 7576 or 0800 744 2642 — 0800 PIHANGA
Select Option 2 and leave a message containing:
Your full name
Your date of birth
Your telephone number
The name and strength of each medicine
Your preferred pharmacy
Please keep your phone nearby in case the team needs further information.
Please allow enough time
For repeat prescriptions, please submit your request well in advance. If a consultation is required, contacting us in advance allows time to arrange an appointment. Otherwise, please allow 48 hours for routine requests and 24 hours for urgent requests. Requests received during weekends or public holidays will be processed when the practice reopens.
Prescription charges apply.
When an appointment may be required
A prescription cannot always be repeated without further assessment. A clinician may need to speak with or examine you if:
The medicine is new or has recently changed
You have not had a medication review for some time
Blood tests, blood-pressure checks or other monitoring are due
The medicine requires closer clinical supervision
You have reported new symptoms or side effects
The clinician needs more information to prescribe safely
If an appointment or test is needed, the Pihanga Health team will contact you.
Repeat prescriptions are not currently available to casual patients who are not enrolled with Pihanga Health. Casual patients should contact their regular healthcare provider.
Urgent medicine requests
Please do not wait until your medicine has run out. If you need urgent help, telephone the practice or speak with your pharmacist. Do not use the general website enquiry form for an urgent prescription request.
